We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of decision-ready insights and advanced predictive models that will spearhead our data-driven future. You will design and implement analytical and machine learning solutions that drive measurable business impact and enhance the consumer experience across channels. In this pivotal role, you will have the mandate to shape the future of data science at Fazer and set the agenda for where data and AI can create the greatest value. You are also curious about exploring and leveraging the rapid advancements in AI and agents.


In this role you will be responsible for:

Enterprise-level data, analytics and AI agenda 

  • End-to-end responsibility for data-driven use cases from concept to hands-on delivery
  • Identifying, scoping, prioritising and piloting data and AI use cases in close collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Governance, standards and best practices for data and AI initiatives

Datadriven decisionmaking capabilities

  • Consumer data models enabling insight, personalisation and measurement
  • Advanced predictive models (incl. designing, training, and operationalizing) using statistics, machine learning, and AI
  • Analytics methodologies, tooling and architecture in partnership with ICT
  • New data and AI initiatives that strengthen marketing effectiveness and ROI such as self-service analytics (“talk to your data” capabilities) and AI-assisted agentic processes to reduce repetitive work

Insights and production-ready machine learning models

  • Clear, decision‑ready insights on consumer behaviour, performance and growth opportunities in MyFazer, direct eCom and other digital growth channels
  • Performance analysis and insights with actionable recommendations for optimisation
  • Segmentation and targeting frameworks enabling personalised marketing at scale

Strategic use of data, analytics and AI across stakeholders

  • Cross‑functional alignment on KPIs, measurement and success criteria
  • Adoption of analytics tools, insights and self-service analytics into day‑to‑day decision‑making

You will be part of Fazer Group Marketing’s Data & Digital Growth Team, working closely with internal stakeholders globally, including Fazer ICT, brand marketing teams, Fazer direct-to-consumer (eCommerce, Fazer Retail, MyFazer) and Group Commercial Organization/Sales. In this position you will report to Director, Data & Digital Growth at Fazer Group. We mainly work on-site and meet colleagues regularly during the week. Location of this position can be any of the Fazer offices in Vantaa, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Warsaw or Tallinn. This role is permanent and full-time.

What you’ll bring to the team?

You will pioneer new ways to leverage data and AI in marketing to build meaningful relationships with consumers and drive digital growth. You have:

  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Good understanding of databases, good SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data in cloud environments (e.g. Snowflake)
  • 5­–8 years of relevant experience in data, analytics & AI (consumer data analysis, data science, machine learning and/or LLMs)
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques
  • Highly numerate and analytical mindset focused on commercial benefits
  • Understanding of ML engineering and platforms, including deploying data science and machine learning solutions, generative AI, model lifecycle management, familiarity with MLOps concepts and tools
  • A proven track record of providing data insights used to drive business growth
  • Open mindset towards exploring/leveraging the rapid advancements in AI and agents

Considered an advantage:

  • Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP, GA4 and Power BI
  • FMCG, Retail and/or eCommerce industry experience
  • Experience with Generative AI (LLMs) and its applications in personalisation
  • Understanding of MarTech ecosystem and tools

Fluency in written and spoken English is required, Finnish and Swedish are considered as a plus.
