Senior Manager, Operational Excellence

We are looking for an experienced and development-driven leader to drive Operational Excellence, process development and continuous improvement at Fazer Confectionery. In this role, you will lead the development of the Production phase in the Forecast-to-Production end-to-end process and play a key role in supporting Fazer Confectionery strategy and the FC2030 Transformation Programme. You will work closely with factory management, Production, Supply Chain and R&D to improve performance, strengthen capabilities and build sustainable ways of working across the factory.

You will be responsible for:

• leading Operational Excellence and factory process development initiatives in the Production phase
• developing production operating models, KPIs, process standards and supporting master data
• driving improvements in flow efficiency, lead time, quality, cost and waste through continuous improvement methods
• promoting practical LEAN and TPM principles and building a strong culture of continuous improvement
• leading process development teams in Vantaa and Lappeenranta and strengthening competencies, operating models and change capability
• managing the development project portfolio, priorities and resources for non-investment initiatives
• supporting production planning development and new product introduction in close cooperation with Production, Supply Chain and R&D
• owning the cost centre for development activities and influencing factory management decisions from a Production perspective

You will report to the Technical Director with a matrix to Factory Directors. This permanent position is located in Vantaa, Finland, where we mainly work onsite.

What you will bring to the team

We expect you to bring strong experience in industrial manufacturing together with a hands-on approach to process development, Operational Excellence and leading change. You understand how to turn strategy into practical improvement, and you are motivated by developing people, ways of working and factory performance.

• 5–10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or production environments; food manufacturing experience is an advantage
• strong background in Operational Excellence, LEAN and continuous improvement; TPM and Six Sigma are considered an advantage
• proven people leadership and change management experience in a manufacturing setting
• good understanding of ERP/MES environments, KPI management and data-driven decision-making
• ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across Production, Supply Chain, R&D and factory leadership
• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing/Production Engineering or a related field
• fluent Finnish and English, both written and spoken
